Data Security When Using Magic Documents or Playbooks

Magic Documents and Playbooks use generative AI to generative dynamic content. These features connect to Open AI via the Microsoft Azure Cognitive services within the Alteryx Cloud Infrastructure. Your raw data is never sent, nor is any Personal Identifiable Information (PII) data.

When does Auto Insights use Generative AI?

Auto Insights executes an API call each time you select Generate, which results in content generation. Go to Magic Documents article for more information on how to generate a new document.

Playbooks

Playbooks executes several API calls as the user browses through the Playbooks interface to generate use cases, synthetic data, sample reports, and more. Auto Insights only sends the information that the user has typed into the text box (for example, role, company, department, or problem space) as well as the use case and report selection (both generated by AI) to Open AI. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest within and between Alteryx Auto Insights and Microsoft Azure Cognitive Services.
