Downgrade Dataprep by Trifacta

As needed, you can downgrade your licensed Dataprep by Trifacta product edition through the Google Marketplace. For example, you can choose to downgrade from Dataprep by Trifacta Enterprise Edition to Dataprep by Trifacta Professional Edition.

NOTE: Downgrades to licensed editions are applied at the end of your current billing period. Your billing statement for the next period reflects the new product edition.

Downgrades are applied to your Google projects at the start of the next billing period. Since downgrades are applied to existing and in-use Google projects, the following limitations may immediately apply to your Dataprep by Trifacta projects, based on the terms of the new product edition:

NOTE: This list is not exhaustive.

  • Some forms of connectivity may no longer be supported. Some connections to your data may no longer work. You may receive requests to enter your credentials but cannot do so. You must swap in a different version of your inaccessible datasets through a different connection.
    • Similarly, publishing to destinations specified through disabled connections may no longer work.
  • Scheduled jobs and plans may no longer work. These features may no longer be available in your product edition. At the time specified in your old schedules, the schedule is disabled, and no job is executed from that point forward.
  • If you created flow webhooks, they are hidden and disabled.
  • Data quality rules are hidden and no longer applied.
  • If enabled, fine-grained access permissions are no longer used to determine access level. Service account permissions are used instead.
  • Access to APIs may no longer be permitted, depending on your product edition.

If you choose to upgrade at a later time, many of these features and capabilities should begin working again.

  • Connections, data quality rules, webhooks or fine-grained access permissions resume working.
  • Individual schedules must be re-enabled.
  • The APIs are accessible again.

For more information on product edition differences, see Product Limitations.
