Files are imported based on the default file encoding for Designer Cloud Enterprise Edition.The default file encoding can be configured. For more information, see Configure Global File Encoding Type.As needed, you can override this default file encoding during the importing of individual datasets.
NOTE: All output files are written in UTF-8 encoding. For a list of supported types for input, see Supported File Encoding Types.
Tip: If you have already imported the dataset and need to change this setting, you can re-import the source and change the settings. In any flows that use the previously imported version of this dataset, you can change the input for any recipe that uses the old version to use this newly imported version. See Flow View Page.
Steps:
- After you have selected or specified the file to import in the Import Data page, click Edit Settings for the dataset card in the right panel.
- From the drop-down, select the preferred encoding to apply to this specific file.
- Continue the import process.
