Migration-Prep-Tool
Das Migration-Prep-Tool für Server ist ein Hilfsprogramm, das die Vorabmigration einer Datenbank mit Workflows und Apps ermöglicht, um die Migration auf den neuen AES256-Standard zu beschleunigen.
Das Migration-Prep-Tool ist optional und ein separates Befehlszeilen-Hilfsprogramm. Sie müssen es nur einmal ausführen, bevor Sie ein Upgrade von Server 2022.1 (oder früheren Versionen) auf 2022.3.x oder höher vornehmen.
Anmerkung
Warum haben wir dieses Tool erstellt?
Server aktualisiert seine Kryptografie auf AES256 für Data-at-Rest (DAR). Alle vorhandenen kryptografisch gespeicherten Daten müssen von der aktuellen Verschlüsselungsmethode auf die neue migriert werden. Manche dieser Daten können vor dem Upgrade auf 2022.3 migriert werden, während Ihr Server in der Produktion genutzt wird.
Die zeitaufwändigsten Daten, die migriert werden müssen, sind die in Server gespeicherten Apps und Workflows. Um beim Upgrade auf Server 2022.3 Zeit zu sparen, können diese Daten im Voraus migriert werden.
Alteryx hat das Migration-Prep-Tool entwickelt, um Sie bei der Migration dieser Daten vor dem Upgrade zu unterstützen.
Wann sollte ich das Migrationstool verwenden?
Wir empfehlen Ihnen, das Migrationstool in folgenden Fällen auszuführen:
Wenn es sich bei der Server-Installation, für die Sie ein Upgrade durchführen, um ein Produktionssystem oder ein Entwicklungssystem handelt, das nicht länger als ein paar Stunden ausfallen darf, und
Sie mehr als ein paar Hundert Workflows haben und
Sie führen MongoDB Atlas oder eine benutzerverwaltete MongoDB aus.
Auch wenn diese Fälle nicht auf Sie zutreffen, ist es empfehlenswert, das Migrationsvorbereitungstool auszuführen, bevor Sie ein Upgrade durchführen, um den Erfolg sicherzustellen.
Darüber hinaus sollten Sie auch die Größe von db.AS_App_Chunks.dataSize() und AS_PackageDefinitions berücksichtigen. Wir haben derzeit für den Zeitpunkt, zu dem Sie das Migration-Prep-Tool im Vorbereitungsmodus ausführen sollten, keine Empfehlungen im Hinblick auf die Datenbankgröße.
Wenn Sie nur wenige Workflows haben oder es Ihnen nichts ausmacht, wenn das Upgrade von Server mehrere Stunden oder Tage dauert, können Sie den Einsatz des Migration-Prep-Tools überspringen und das standardmäßige Installationsprogramm für Server ausführen, um auf 2022.3 zu aktualisieren. Die Ausfallzeit ist länger als üblich, da das Upgrade auch die Krypto-Migration umfasst.
Anmerkung
Wenn Sie sich entscheiden, das Migration-Prep-Tool nicht vor dem Upgrade auszuführen, wird das Tool im Rahmen der Installation des Upgrades auf 2022.3 installiert und ausgeführt.

To evaluate any anticipated issues you might need to address prior to upgrading to 2022.3 or later, run the pre-flight check as part of the Migration Prep Tool.
Wichtig
You can only perform a pre-flight check on Server instances using a 64-character Controller Token.
If your Server is on version 2021.3 or earlier, you need to first upgrade to version 2022.1 before proceeding with the next steps.
Check the length of your Controller Token in Alteryx System Settings > Controller > General > Token > View.
If your token is 40 characters long, select Regenerate to create a new token. Then select OK to restart the AlteryxService and create the new token.
During the pre-migration or full migration process, you will be able to see error logs that allow you to resolve the issues yourselves. This enables you to take the recommended action to ensure the full migration is completed successfully despite any errors.
Das Migration-Prep-Tool ausführen
Default: Run the pre-migration and pre-migration check simultaneously (-p)
Run just the pre-migration (apps) (--appsonly)
Run just the credential validation step (--credonly)
While running the Migration Prep Tool, you must provide the controller token (-t) and hostname/IP Address (-i) of the controller. This also means you can now run the Migration Prep Tool on a multi-node setup by providing the controller's hostname/IP address and controller token.
Please note that 2 instances of the Migration Prep Tool tool cannot run simultaneously for the same controller.
