Restrict Product Downloads

Account Admins can control whether users can access the Product Downloads page and which versions of Designer Desktop, additional Designer products, and Server are available for download.

To manage product downloads:

  1. Sign in to Alteryx One, then select Account Admin in the left navigation pane.

  2. Go to Account Admin Console > Settings > Product Downloads.

The Product Downloads page contains the following sections:

  • Enable Product Downloads Page: Enable or disable access to the Product Downloads page for all workspace users, including Workspace Admins.

  • Designer Downloads

    • Available Designer Versions: Select which Designer Desktop versions users can download.

    • Additional Designer Downloads: Select which additional Designer products are available for download.

  • Server Downloads

    • Available Server Versions: Select which Server versions are available to users with the Server capability.

Enable or Disable Product Downloads Page

By default, the Product Downloads page is available to users. Disabling the page doesn't affect access for Workspace Admins.

To enable or disable the Product Downloads page:

  1. Go to Account Admin Console > Settings > Product Downloads.

  2. Under Enable Product Downloads Page, select Enabled or Disabled.

  3. Save your changes.

When disabled, users cannot access the Product Downloads page from their workspace.

Restrict Available Products and Versions

Account Admins can select which products and their versions are available to users with respective roles and capabilities. Omitting products and versions doesn't affect their availability to Workspace Admins.

To restrict available products or versions:

  1. Go to Account Admin Console > Settings > Product Downloads.

  2. Locate the product category you want to manage.

  3. Select Edit.

  4. In the dialog box, select the products or versions that you want to make available.

  5. (Optional) Leave Automatically make new versions available selected to make future releases available automatically. Clear the option if you want to approve new versions manually.

  6. Save your changes. If you don't select all available versions, the number of selected versions appears next to the product category.

The selected products and versions become available on the Product Downloads page for eligible users.
