Workspace Admin Console

Through the Workspace Admin console, admin users can modify settings and users at the system and workspace level, as well as run health checks and manage the license for Alteryx One Platform. Select Workspace Admin in the left navigation panel.

Note

You must be an administrator to access this feature.

Users and Access Management

Users

Invite, disable, and remove users. Change roles, as needed. For more information, go to Users.

Roles

Create roles and assign permissions to them for access to objects created in Alteryx One. For more information, go to Roles.

User Groups

Alteryx supports managing user access through groups. Consider creating one or more user groups if you have sets of users with similar access needs, like teams. For more information, go to User Groups.

User Provisioning

Alteryx supports provisioning, updating, and deprovisioning Alteryx One Platform users through the System for Cross-domain Identity Management (SCIM) protocol. By enabling SCIM, your organization can use security groups within your own identity provider (IdP) to set user access to individual workspaces, modules, and features. For more information, go to Auto Provisioning.

Single Sign-On

Enable Single Sign-On (SSO) to apply your organization's authentication security policies to an individual workspace. Admins can enable SSO on a workspace-by-workspace basis. For more information, go to Single Sign-On.

Workspace Execution

By default, your new Alteryx One Enterprise account workspace is configured to use the Alteryx Data Plane to execute your Designer-built workflows. This Workspace Execution option uses the Alteryx One Software as a Service (SaaS) environment to process data, meaning you don’t have to worry about infrastructure because it’s fully managed by Alteryx. For more information, go to Workspace Execution on Alteryx Data Plane

Private Data Handling

Private Data Handling enables you to provide enterprise security controls over the data and job execution for your workspace.

Note

This feature is available in the Enterprise Edition only.

For more information, go to Private Data Handling.

Data Warehouses

Databricks

Configure and provision Databricks workspaces for Alteryx One Platform users. For more information, go to Databricks Admin.

Dataproc

Connect your Alteryx One Platform workspace to your Dataproc Serverless account to enable the Dataproc Engine. Dataproc is a distributed Spark engine that can run your Designer Cloud workflows if your workspace is set up with GCS as Private Data Storage. For more information, go to Dataproc Engine Setup Guide.

Connectivity

OAuth 2.0 Clients

Administrators can create and manage clients for accessing an OAuth 2.0 app in an external platform such as a relational datastore.

Note

Before you create an OAuth 2.0 client, you must have created an OAuth 2.0 app in the target system, to which your client can connect. For more information, go to Enable OAuth 2.0 Authentication.

For more information, go to OAuth 2.0 Clients.

Email Server

Set up access to a Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) email server in your Alteryx One Platform workspace. Use the email server to send user-defined emails in Alteryx One apps and system-generated emails, including Mission summaries and report PDFs. For more information, go to Email Server.

Data Lineage Connection

Use Alteryx One to transfer lineage metadata from Server to an external data catalog. Each workspace supports a one-to-one connection between a Server and a catalog. For more information, go to Data Lineage Connection.

Monitoring

OAuth 2.0 API Tokens

On the OAuth 2.0 API Tokens page for admins, you can view and manage OAuth 2.0 API tokens created by workspace users. For more information, go to OAuth 2.0 API Tokens Page for Admins.

Sessions

View the devices that signed in to your account. You can revoke sessions you don't recognize. Sessions include devices connected through a browser or Designer Desktop.

Governance

Data Labels

Asset Certification enables Workspace Admins to define and manage Data Label categories, including their values and descriptions. Admins can add new labels and enable or disable existing labels to support governance, compliance, and software development life cycle (SDLC) requirements within a workspace. For more information, go to Data Labels and Asset Certification.

Workspace Settings

Review and edit settings applicable to the workspace. For more information, go to Workspace Settings.

Environment Parameters

Define parameters that apply to the entire environment and are available to all users. For more information, go to Environment Parameters.
