Alteryx One App

The Alteryx One app is a desktop app that introduces a unified entry point for the Alteryx One Platform, enabling access to both Designer and Alteryx cloud applications. A cloud login is required to use the Alteryx One app.

What’s included: 

  • Desktop app (Windows): A Windows-based application that serves as the central interface for launching Designer and accessing Alteryx cloud applications. The Alteryx One app is required for upgrading to Designer 2026.1 and later. A cloud login is required for all Alteryx One app users.

  • Web Companion: A browser-based experience for accessing Alteryx cloud capabilities without the Designer integration.

What's New

  • Added session details and Alteryx APIs link in the app bar help menu.

  • Renamed “Download Center” to “Download & Activate”.

  • Added a hover flyout with more details for the Download & Activate call to action in the left navigation.

  • Renamed Auto Insights assets:

    • Auto Insights Missions are now named Auto Insights Preset Report.

    • Auto Insights Reports are now named Auto Insights Custom Report.

  • Alteryx One now allows users to register with email addresses longer than 50 characters.

Important

With a major version update from 0. to 1. users might encounter a one-time Alteryx One app update prompt to go to the Download & Activate page to get the latest installer. This is a one-time experience and will return to the regular "Restart Now" or "Restart Later" experience with future updates.

Fixed Issues

  • GAXA-629: Hid Designer local assets when that capability is not enabled.

  • GAXA-819: Updated new asset creation so the new asset page always opens in a new tab.

  • GAXA-841: Fixed Recent Assets filtering behavior to preserve filter state more reliably.

  • GAXA-848: Prevented the desktop auto-update scheduler from starting in browser mode.

  • GAXA-852: Added disabled tooltips for cloud link items to better explain unavailable options.

  • GAXA-861: Fixed workspace switching in browser mode to use workspaceGid.

  • TCP-5377: Added handling for unauthenticated states in Ask Alteryx.

  • TONYXCL-1521: Improved switcher item semantics and tooltip wrapping.

  • TPRI-11082: Fixed left navigation call to action positioning for Account Admin, Workspace Admin, and Download & Activate links.
