New Workflow Creation Experience

Getting started with Live Query is now faster and more seamless for first-time users.

The workflow creation experience has been streamlined to remove redundant steps and keep connection setup directly within the Live Query flow. Instead of being redirected across product areas or browser tabs, supported cloud data warehouse connections—Snowflake, BigQuery, and Databricks—can now be created in place. The new design helps users move from connection setup to workflow creation with less friction and fewer interruptions. The result is a more intuitive onboarding experience that accelerates time to first workflow. Live Query now feels simpler and more connected from the very first interaction.

Empty-State Graphic

A new empty-state graphic is now available in Live Query and Designer Cloud, prompting users to add tools to the canvas when the canvas is blank. This update is intended to make the call to action more visible and direct users to the first step they need to take to start building a workflow.

Databricks Runtime 16.4 LTS Support

Updated Spark engine compatibility for Databricks Runtime 16.4 LTS and Spark 3.5.2. This resolves compatibility issues when running transformation jobs on newer Databricks runtimes, including API changes required by Spark 3.5.

Customer action: Customers using Databricks Job Pools with a pinned runtime could redeploy or update those pools to use the new supported runtime before running jobs.
