Use the Alteryx One Data page to review and configure your datasets for Auto Insights. Review this page for Auto Insights relevant actions for your datasets.
Explore Insights on a Dataset
Generate Auto Insights insights directly on a dataset you already have in Alteryx One, without extra setup.
To generate insights on your data starting from the Alteryx One Data page...
From the dropdown next to the dataset that you want to use in Auto Insights, select Use In > Explore Data Insights.
Auto Insights opens your dataset on the Explore Data page. Use this page to quickly analyze the data to uncover patterns, trends, and key drivers.
(Optional) Select Add to to add your dataset to a Custom Report or Preset Report.
Insights for your dataset are now available from the Data page. Use Insights Settings to manage insights and explore more.
Data Insights Tab
Use the Data Insights tab to view key performance metrics for your dataset, change dataset settings specific to Auto Insights, and explore insights about your dataset.
To view the Data Insights tab, select a dataset from the Data page and then select Data Insights.
Refresh Dataset
Refresh your dataset to update its insights. How the dataset gets new data depends on its source:
Connection: Refresh the dataset to import new data from the configured data source.
Uploaded file: Replace the file to import new data. Replacing the file automatically refreshes the dataset.
To refresh or replace a dataset, select the 3-dot menu next to your dataset, then select Refresh or Replace, depending on the dataset source.
Users with Editor access to the dataset can trigger Refresh, even if they don't have access to the connection dependencies.
