Find and Open Assets from a Chat
When Ask Alteryx builds a workflow or uses a dataset, the workflow and dataset are saved to your workspace. You can open them from the chat or find them in Library and Data.
Use the Assets Panel
If your homepage is named Home, the Assets panel on the right side of the chat lists the workflows that Ask Alteryx created, changed, or ran in the chat, and the datasets those workflows use or produce. Assets that Ask Alteryx only looked at aren't listed. The panel opens when an asset is added to it. The number next to Assets shows how many there are. Select Assets to expand or collapse the panel.
Select a workflow to open it in Designer. The workflow opens in a new tab in view-only mode. To go back to the chat, return to the previous browser tab.
Select a dataset to open it in Data. The dataset opens in the current tab, in place of the chat. To return to the chat, select it in Chats in the left navigation pane.
Find Assets in Your Workspace
Workflows that Ask Alteryx builds are saved to Library with a name that describes what the workflow does, for example Customer Counts by Region. Datasets are listed in Data.
You can also ask Ask Alteryx to find assets for you, for example: "Which datasets in my workspace contain customer data?"
Edit a Workflow
You can't edit a workflow in the chat. In a browser, a Designer workflow opens in view-only mode. To edit it, open it in the Alteryx One app or in Designer. To change a workflow without leaving the chat, describe the change to Ask Alteryx, for example "Add a filter to remove blank regions."
