What's New
Alteryx One App and Designer Offline
The Alteryx One app supports temporary and permanent offline scenarios. If you don't have an internet connection, you can still launch Designer from the Alteryx One app and activate Designer offline if needed. After activation, you can continue using Designer while offline. Available functionality is limited to the features that Designer supports in offline mode.

If you use offline activation for Designer while connected to the internet, this scenario is not currently supported in version 2026.1. We recommend waiting to upgrade to Designer version 2026.1 until we address this scenario in a future upgrade.

Local MCP Server for Designer
Alteryx One app now includes a local Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that enables supported AI agents to work directly with Designer workflows on your computer.
When used with Alteryx Skills, external agent experiences such as Claude Code, Codex, Antigravity, and other MCP-compatible clients can:
Create and modify Designer workflows.
Inspect workflow tools, configurations, connections, and metadata.
Run workflows and review their results.
Identify and repair workflow configuration errors.
Read data and metadata produced at workflow output anchors.
The local MCP server works with Designer 2026.2 and later. Designer and Alteryx One app do not need to be open before you begin. The agent can start the required local services when it needs to perform a workflow operation.
Workflow changes are performed against explicit local .yxmd files, so the saved workflow remains the source of truth. The integration does not automate the active Designer canvas or expose Alteryx authentication tokens to the external agent.
To use this capability, install or update Alteryx One app with AI Services, install Designer 2026.2 or later, and configure the Alteryx Skills plugin in your preferred supported agent.

Active Workspace Sync
Synced the active workspace from the Alteryx One app into Designer so the Designer Desktop's bar stays aligned with the workspace selected in the shell.
