Users must ensure they have local admin permissions when entering keys and that User Account Control (UAC) is not interfering with service registration.

For Alteryx One Licensing
Your Account Administrator should invite you to an Alteryx One Workspace.
Select the Join Here button in the invitation email and complete your registration in Alteryx One Platform.
In Alteryx One, go to the Overview page.
On the Designer tile, select Activate.
Copy your Unified Designer License Key.
For Legacy Licensing
Use your existing Designer License Key provided through your licensing process.
Get Your Desktop Automation Add-On Key
Locate the Alteryx Desktop Automation add-on key in the email sent to your License Administrator.
The add-on appears in the email exactly as Alteryx Desktop Automation.
If you can't locate the email, Alteryx Support can provide the key.

Configure Desktop Automation (New Installations Only)
If this is a new machine installation:
Go to Options > Advanced > Settings.
Select Next through the configuration pages and adjust settings as needed.
Select Finish.
The AlteryxService should start automatically, enabling scheduling.
