Using Microsoft OneDrive Connections
This section describes how you interact through Designer Cloud Powered by Trifacta Enterprise Edition with your OneDrive files.
Uses of Microsoft OneDrive
The Designer Cloud Powered by Trifacta Enterprise Edition can use OneDrive for the following tasks:
Import CSV and Excel files by reading from OneDrive.
Before You Begin Using Microsoft OneDrive
Read Access: Your OneDrive administrator must configure read permissions.
Reading from OneDrive
You can create an Alteryx dataset from a file stored in OneDrive. To start, choose between files and folders organized under My Files or Shared with Me. Then, navigate to the file that you want.
For more information, go to Database Browser.
Data Validation issues:
No validation is performed for the connection and any required permissions during job execution. So, you can be permitted to launch your job even if you do not have sufficient connectivity or permissions to access the data. The corresponding publish job fails at runtime.
Known Issues
If you’ve recently granted or revoked access to a OneDrive asset, you might not notice the change immediately in the Microsoft OneDrive Connection. Please try again later.
The Microsoft OneDrive connection supports only import even though an option to publish might be displayed. (TSMC-1730)
