Export Plan
This section provides an overview on how to export plans from one environment to another environment as a ZIP file.
You can export a plan from Alteryx Analytics Cloud (AAC) from 1 system to another system as a ZIP file. The exported ZIP file contains a JSON file for the plan and JSON files for some of the referenced assets. The plan and its tasks are exported into the plan definition file. When you export the plan ZIP file, a snapshot of the plan is taken at the time of export.
Plan exports are useful for:
Backing up the work in progress on your plans
Archiving of completed development work
Limitations
The plan file doesn't include the plan schedules and their associated overrides.
If you export a plan that contains a Designer Cloud or Designer Desktop task and then import it into a different workspace, the reference to the corresponding workflow is lost.
The plan file doesn't contain JSON files for referenced Designer Experience or Designer Desktop workflows.
The plan file only contains JSON files for Trifacta Classic flows, HTTP tasks, and Slack tasks.
Export from Plans page
From the home page of Alteryx Analytics Cloud, go to Plans.
On the Plans page, select the required plan. From the 3-dot menu, select Export.
In the Export Plan window, select Download package(.zip).
Enter any optional notes, if required.
The ZIP file downloads to the default download location of your desktop.
