External GCS Connections
Follow this guide to configure an External Google Cloud Storage (GCS) connection in an Alteryx Analytics Cloud (AAC) workspace. Use this connection to connect to specific GCS projects.
Tip
If you already have GCS as Private Data Storage set up, use External GCS connections to connect to a different GCS project.

Prerequisites
Be a user on a Professional or Enterprise AAC plan.
Service Account Key JSON file. To create a Service Account Key in the Google Cloud Platform, please follow the instructions in this GCS as Private Data Storage section.
Create Connection
Sign in to your AAC workspace.
Go to the Connections Page and then select Create Connection.
Search for
External GCS
.Enter a unique Connection Name for the connection in your workspace.
[Optional] Enter a Description for your connection.
[Optional] Enter the Project ID.
[Optional] Enter a Default Bucket. The Service Account key must at least include list and read permissions to the Default Bucket.
Under API Key, copy and paste the entire Service Account Key JSON file. To create a Service Account Key in the Google Cloud Platform, please follow the instructions in this GCS as Private Data Storage section.
Select Create.
Use Connection
To access your GCS data, go to the Data page and then select Import Data. Select External GCS from the left pane to browse your data.
