What's New
Restructure of Data Tab
Dataset Details page has information and actions available:
Schema,
RowCount at the time of dataset creation,
Live Data preview,
Share of Dataset.
Plans Delay Task
We are excited to introduce a new feature in Plans that allows users to add a configurable delay before executing downstream tasks in Plan. This delay task enables you to set a pause of X seconds between tasks, providing greater control over the sequencing and timing of your workflow execution. For more information, go to Plan View for Delay Tasks.
Data Exchange Between Tasks
You can now override the input of a downstream workflow task in Plans using the output from an upstream workflow task. The upstream output must be in CSV format, while the downstream input can be in any format.
Folders
We’re excited to announce the introduction of Folders for organizing workflows in the Designer Cloud and CEfD platforms, now available in the new All Assets section of the Platform Library.
Folders allow you to combine both workflow types in a single location and manage access efficiently through folder-level permissions, which are automatically inherited by the assets within.
You can move assets into folders from the All Assets section or create Designer Cloud workflows directly within a folder to save them there. Similarly, assets can be removed by moving them to the All Assets section or another folder, while individual assets can also be deleted based on user permissions.
Deleting a folder transfers its assets to the owner’s root directory unless the user has sufficient permissions to delete the assets, in which case a notification is sent to the asset owner. Direct asset-level shares remain unaffected during this process.
Additionally, sharing has been enhanced to support group-based permissions, dynamically granting or revoking access to shared assets as group membership changes. These updates simplify organization and ensure flexible, secure collaboration across teams.
For more information, go to Folders
Sharing of Assets with User Groups
Now you can share an asset with a group. When a new user is added to the group, they automatically gain access to the assets shared with the group. When a user is removed from the group, they lose access to those assets. This setup ensures that permissions are dynamically managed based on group membership.

What's New
An exception is thrown for unsupported data types when the Parquet reader encounters binary data.
Currently, Blob types are not supported in Designer Cloud. If someone tries to create a Blob type in Cloud mode, the AMP Engine will throw an error saying, Unsupported type in Cloud: Blob.
Time and DateTime values are now written to Parquet files with full precision. The process has been updated to ensure that fractional seconds are preserved, preventing any loss of data when writing these types to Parquet files.
ISO 8061 string values are now generated from Parquet Time values, ensuring that no data is lost in the process.
Connectors supported in Standard Mode:
Amazon RDS MySQL
Amazon RDS Postgres
Amazon RDS SQL Server
MongoDB

Postgres
Redshift
Snowflake
SQL Server
Teradata
Known Issues
Job errors but workflow runs fine on the canvas.
The Cross Tab tool generates the correct output schema based on the incoming data, even when the branch is not connected to any output tool and the "Disable All Browse Tools" option is selected.
Fuzzy Match in Standard mode - Unsupported type in Cloud: Blob.
Updated FuzzyMatch to use a string type internally rather than a blob. Blob types are currently unsupported in Cloud.

What's New
Global Search
Global Search allows you to quickly find and access specific assets, such as workflows, connections, and datasets, within your workspace through a unified search bar. See Platform Landing Page for more information.
Known Issues
New schedules created for flows in Trifacta Classic may not appear in the UI, even though they are successfully triggered and completed in the backend. This behavior is particularly noticeable when creating multiple schedules for the same flow. If a new schedule does not show up in the UI, you can verify the execution of the schedule by relying on email notifications for flow completion.
When attempting to schedule a flow in Trifacta Classic using the "File Watcher" (also called "Event Watcher") trigger type, users may encounter the error message "Scheduling service not available." This occurs even though the scheduling service is operational and available. At this time, no direct workaround exists for this issue. Users may need to monitor and manage their schedules through other parts of the platform.

What's New
The Default role no longer includes permissions to workflows. To grant access to Designer Cloud, administrators must assign users the Designer Cloud Creator or Designer Cloud Consumer roles.
Support of DesktopApp to CEfD section for Library. User with permission related to Analytic App:
Desktop Analytic App Author;
Create, update, share, execute, delete, and read Desktop Analytic Apps,
can upload, manage, and run Analytic app in the Library.
BQ billing project: As a user of AACP you can utilize a billing project to execute workflows, ensuring that the associated query costs are correctly attributed to the appropriate project. By working within the billing project context, operations like creating AACP datasets, samples, custom SQL queries, and running AACP jobs are billed to the default billing project.
Previously, the AACP files were stored in the root folder by default. You can now setup a base path when configuring AWS S3 as Private Data Storage. All the files created in AACP (uploaded files, workflow outputs and temporary files like samples) will be stored in folders after the base path. You can also block users from exploring data in S3 Private Data Storage in AACP by setting the flag in Admin Console > Storage > Hide Underlying file systems to Users to Enabled.
The Google Ads connector has been updated with the latest Cdata driver.

Note that for JDBC connections, AAC only supports inferencing for Snowflake, Oracle, Databricks, and Postgres.
Limitations
AAC doesn't correctly infer Date and DateTime data types from flat files.
For JDBC connections, when the
day
component is<=12
, inferencing swaps themonth
andday
field for Date and DateTime data.To avoid this limitation, please disable data type inferencing when you import your dataset.
Float values truncate when you turn off data type inferencing.
Date data type publishes as timestamp datatype in Oracle connections.

What's New
We now support the Google Analytics 4 connector. Use the new connector to create a GA 4 connection to one of the two schemas: Universal Analytics and Google Analytics 4.
The Shopify connector now supports both an API key and a new Access Token authentication method. We recommend that you move to the new Access Token authentication method.
Per Shopify, the use of API key authentication has been deprecated. Shopify now only supports the Access Token method. However, CData continues to provide backward compatibility for existing connections. It is highly recommended to move to the new Access Token authentication method. There is no guarantee provided by CData and Alteryx to support the old authentication method.
In the Designer Cloud Output tool, you can now browse through a list of your files and folders. You can also perform a search within a particular directory. The search keyword only applies to files and folders under the directory you are currently in, it won't continuously search for downstream folders.
